Jay L. Lenrow, of counsel to Adelberg, Rudow, Dorf & Hendler LLC has been appointed to a four-year term on the Johns Hopkins University Board Of Trustees.
Lenrow has deep ties to Hopkins, where he earned a bachelor?s degree and attended its School of Advanced International Studies. He currently serves on the board of advisors for both the Johns Hopkins Children?s Center and Johns Hopkins Hillel, and is JHU?s alumni council vice president and an executive board member.
Bringing over 35 years legal experience, Lenrow focuses his practice on real estate law, corporate law, construction law and real estate finance. He joined ARD&H earlier this year, after serving as a principal in Lenrow, Kohn & Oliver, P.C., the firm he co-founded in 1995.
A former assistant attorney general for Maryland and former vice chairman of the Maryland Commission on Landlord-Tenant Law Reform, Lenrow previously was associate general counsel for McCormick Properties Inc. and vice president/general counsel of Combined Properties Inc.
He received a law degree from the Washington College of Law at the American University.
Active in the community, Lenrow currently serves as development committee chairman and board member for Roland Park Country School; northeast region executive vice president for Boy Scouts of America and a member of its National Religious Relationships Task Force. He previously chaired the BSA?s Baltimore Area Council and National Jewish Committee on Scouting.
A past board member and volunteer legal advisor for Baltimore Neighborhoods, Inc., Lenrow earned the organization?s Elizabeth M. Shipley Volunteer of the Year Award. He previously served as the board of trustees? legal advisor for Friends of the Jewish Chapel of the United States Naval Academy, Inc.; Annual Appeal chairman for Krieger Schechter Day School, and Annual Fund chairman and board member for Chizuk Amuno Congregation.
