ONEIDA COUNTY, N.Y. -- A not guilty plea Friday in connection with a double murder in Rome.

Aaron Welch, 26, of Schenectady, has been accused of stabbing the mother of his child, Stephanie Morrison, and another man, Shawn Kessler, to death.

Police said Welch waited outside Morrison's home on Myrtle Street until she returned from work. An argument started and Police say Kessler, who was inside the home, came out to help. That's when police say Welch stabbed them both.

Welch has been charged with one count of murder in the first degree and two counts of second degree murder, as well as weapons possession.
