Sega 8 BitWhen I was around 10 years old, me and my younger brothers got just the present we were hoping for that Christmas. The Sega Master System II, who did much better here in Europe than in North America (it even looked different), was every boy?s dream. I spent infinite hours playing games like Alex Kidd, Teddy Boy, Fantazy Zone, Rampage, Sonic and Spell Caster. Even though the graphics are a joke compared to the games today, they still hold a special place in my heart : ).

This is of course way before the Internet went worldwide and there was few multiplayer options. The game control only had two buttons, 1 and 2, but I remember having the time of my life. I think Teddy Boy was the only game we didn?t complete (man, that got hard on the later levels), but I am sure we were not far off. The only problem about being three brothers and only one game console is that you have to wait a long time for your turn, but since I was the oldest, I usually got to go first : ). When playing multiplayer games like Tennis Ace or Super Monaco GP , this became less of a irritation. A couple of years after the Sega, we bought the Nintendo 64 where we played legendary games like Goldeneye and Mario Kart. This took it to a whole other level, and the N64 is probably my favourite console of all time, but your first is always your first!
